What a Weekend!! Part 3 Acadia Home Coming!!!
Acadia Home Coming Weekend. First I was at Raymond field for the Football game (Acadia vs Mount Allison) helping Jerry Neville and Jennifer Pick with the half time show and then it was off to the rink as Acadia took on Dal to help out again throwing t-shirts into the audience and I got to drive the cruiser out onto the ice for a cool contest where you had to hit a dryer with the puck. (much easier than it sounds!)

What a Weekend! Part 2 Apple Dome!!!
The Kings Mutual Century Centre Official Opening was on Sunday October 17th 2010. The fundraising for the Apple Dome Arena Project started in May 2001 and now the town of Berwick and surrounding communities have this amazing 12.4 million dollar facility to enjoy for generations to come.
Thank you to all the volunteers and donors who made this possible.
Congrats!!!

What a weekend!- Dog Shows, Craft Shows and Drag Races.
I have to say this past Saturday was super busy! 1st to Windsor for the Championship Dog Show. Over 120 dogs and international judges from as far away as Italy! Next was the Horton Craft Show with hundreds of tables full of crafts and home made treats. Then it was off to Weston for the snowmobile grass drag races. Berwick was the next stop for the Children's Wish Foundation Walk for Wishes and lets not forget Acadia home coming weekend and the Grand Opening of the Apple Dome! What a weekend indeed!
Drive Away Hunger October 14th
Magic 94.9 and AVR are proud to support the FCC with their annual Drive Away Hunger Campaign in support of 4 local food banks in the valley and Feed Nova Scotia. This year over 22,000 pounds of food (and monetary equivilent) was raised! Thank you to all of the schools and businesses who made this years event a huge success. Over 20,000 Nova Scotians need to use food banks each month and over 6500 of those are children.
On October 14th I drove the Cruiser and followed behind the Drive Away Hunger tractor trailer as we made our way to different stops from Berwick to New Minas collecting donations for the Food Bank.
